In the early 70s, small contracting firms were few in numbers. This allowed, along with unyielding dedication and hard work, these two young Italian immigrants to enter into the construction field. They started doing concrete work and yard drainage, with Valerio running the drainage side, and Bruno handling the concrete work. As time went by and work interest evolved, Valerio concentrated more on residential concrete work and basement waterproofing, while Bruno started to focus on commercial excavating, underground utilities, and demolition.

In 1989, after earning an engineering degree from the University of Akron and working several years, co-operative education experience with other companies, the "baby" of the Alberto and Silvia Frabotta family, Cesare, joined the company.

The addition of Cesare to the business allowed ABV to aggressively obtain new business. Valerio and Bruno would focus on their specialties, while Cesare would concentrate on estimating and engineering aspects.

In 2010, Mike, the son of Valerio, joined the family business. Growing up, Mike showed a passion for trucks, machines and digging. He studied Construction Management at The University of Akron before joining the business full time. During his time at The University of Akron, Mike was on the award winning steel bridge team. Mike hopes to continue the family business for many more years.
